Dr. Michael Chandler
Dr. Michael L. Chandler has maintained a private dental practice in Edmond, Oklahoma, since 2004. He earned his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2000. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Afterward, he served three years with the National Health Service Corps, providing dental care to underserved communities. This foundation of service and hands-on experience continues to shape his approach to patient care today.
Dr. Chandler’s philosophy is simple: he recommends the same treatment to his patients that he would recommend to his own family, friends, and staff. He plans the least invasive treatment possible to reach each patient’s goals. Minimally invasive procedures are often more technically challenging, but Dr. Chandler finds great satisfaction in preserving as much of a patient’s natural tooth structure as possible. His favorite work is restoring teeth to their natural form and function, and he has advanced training in adhesive dentistry and minimally invasive treatment.
Dr. Chandler offers a wide range of restorative and cosmetic care, including veneers, crowns, and bonding. He places some dental implants and restores most implant cases. When needed, he works closely with specialists to help patients reach their smile goals with as little intervention as possible. In 2010, he began offering same-day CEREC crowns, partial crowns, and ceramic fillings. Many of these treatments can be completed in a single visit. For patients with dental anxiety, he offers nitrous oxide for mild nerves and oral conscious sedation for higher anxiety. The practice also makes every effort to see patients with true dental emergencies.
Dr. Chandler is committed to lifelong learning. He has completed several hundred hours of continuing education well beyond state requirements, and he stays current with advancements in modern dentistry so he can offer his patients effective, up-to-date care.
He resides in Edmond with his wife, Mandy, his daughter, Mykal, and his son, Chaz.
